3 year old dishwasher. loved it til it died and caused significant damage tomy hardwood floor. Miele serviceman told me would cost more to repair than to replace. He claimed the dishwasher failed because I was not using Miele dishwasher detergent (I had called Miele customer service when I first bought the dishwasher and they told me to use Finish). Furthermore, the serviceman told me my dishes were too clean for the dishwasher...and that's what caused the damage to the machine. He said one must NEVER rinse the dishes before putting in a Miele dishwasher no matter how much food are on them... and one must never run less than a full load. He told me Miele would take what I've paid for the service call and apply it to a new dishwasher, IF I ordered soon and purchased this online with Miele directly (but online prices at Miele appear higher than at local appliance stores)..frankly. after just 3 years and a significant kitchen floor repair--not sure I would want another Miele. What an extreme disappointment.
