Bad units, no payment for labor claim

Purchased a unit for a customer truck, Ford AOD, had to drop valve body to put in correct manual shift lever, installed unit, on test drive got 3 4th gear upshifts and downshifts, fourth one got a noise and lost 4th gear. Tech support was actually no sweat, they sent out another unit which actually worked. during that another customer brought in there 2001 Dodge 1500 that they had installed a Moveras unit themselves. That unit was flat bad from the box, they just decided to get the money back. Submitted labor claim for AOD, waited several weeks, heard nothing, called them. They claim unit has not arrived back to them yet, may take 8 weeks. I asked why that was not published in the warranty literature, no answer. We are now 6 weeks into the wait, called again, unit still not there, its Autozones fault this time, they hold the units.Asked if it concerns them that it makes them look bad, no answer. I guess I have been doing business wrong by paying people I owe money to before thirty days is up User's recommendation: Warranty's are nice if they work like they are supposed to, buyer beware.
