Bad Service Support/Service

1

Since I purchased my vehicle from Tomball Ford in Houston Texas I have had my vehicle in the shop for one reason or another. The transmission ended up having to be replaced and then I had a bad oil leak that was leaking oil all over the engine and back underneath the vehicle. I have had to have the water pump replaced as well, front wheel bearings, and now the back wheel bearings need replacing and I actually took the vehicle in over a year ago for the load noise upon acceleration and was told it was my front wheel bearings. So, we had those replaced and it is still making the same load noise. And now they are telling me it is the back wheel bearings. Well, I went in for an oil change and was told I have an oil leak, so I took it back to Tomball Ford and they first told me that it was an issue with the transmission but, then the following Monday they called me back and said it was not the transmission it was the PTU that was now leaking and needed replacing along with the HEGO (the check engine light came on) and they said it was due to this part. We took the vehicle to another facility for a second opinion and was told there was actually two leaks that we had and needed to be repaired. But, when I asked about the issue that Ford is having with Ford Explorers (TSB 14-0****) which is due to the PTU vent house and leaking fluid, which is exactly what they said was wrong with my vehicle. I just feel like they do not know exactly what is wrong with my vehicle and they are just have us have repairs done to the truck in order to try and solve the original problem. Which was upon acceleration on an incline the vehicle seems to hesitate or feel almost like a stall issue. Which is why they said it was the transmission and they had to replace the transmission. And immediately after they gave me back my car and I drove it to work I noticed the oil leak and called the service department and they had me drive the vehicle right back to the dealership and by then it was overheated and oil was dripping out from underneath. They took me out to the shop once they had it pulled up on a lift and showed me the problem and said it was a bad or broken gasket seal and they would have it fixed at not charge. They repaired it and now almost 8 months or so later I have an issue with the PTU, which from what I have been told, when the transmission was replace it had to be unbolted from the PTU in order to replace the transmission. I was also told that all of these parts are one time use parts. So, I asked if they PTU was replaced since it was separated from the transmission and they said no. All other parts/bolts were and that my current issue had nothing to do with the repairs/replacement of the transmission. I don't think I can trust what they tell me anymore as this last time when I took my vehicle in to check on the oil leak. They did not mention two oil leaks. They only mention that the PTU was my issue and that was it. I have purchased three vehicles from Ford. Explorer, Eddie Bauer Expedition and another Explorer. At this point I don't think I would ever buy another Ford vehicle. I am not very happy with this dealership or its service department representatives or mechanics.
