My Complaint is exactly this! 1/. On the 31st March 2019 at 11 am a Sunday I Alfred Andrews hired a small toyota black and red Aygo. It was an emergency as my wife could not get home due to her car setting on fire the night before and she worked too far from home to get the busses. Initially the ad said that it would cost very cheap about 263 for 2 weeks hire. Something very reasonable anyway. I got to collect it and I was hit with other charges. £ 22.00 per day because I did not have a Credit card. Per day! that = to 308 pounds. Me and my wife brought the car back and were told that I would receive about 200 or a little more in a couple of days time but I received just 95.00. secondly, A further £55.00 has been taken from our joint account on the 25th may 2019. No reason has been given still as to why which we find to be very ignorant and rude. On the 30th of May 2019. I received a penalty fine which is for the easi rent hired car as I must have drove within a bus lane on the 6th April 2019 at 9.am. If the 50.00 was taken for the fine then why not have the common decency to let me know. The penalty was obviously sent to easi rent and they have forwarded it to my address. Still no letter of explanation as to why the 55.00 was taken. what does this penalty letter mean when they have already taken the money to pay it? why was the penalty paid immediately instead of them leaving it so I have had to pay more, 25 .00 more!!! My wife has already contacted the Financial Ombudsman about the wrong doings of this Company. She also has reported this all to Watch dog uk the t.v programme as is awaiting to be contacted. I guess I have to contact the somerset county council ref web code 647pp911 pcn US80309615 hired car reg YH68GVZ I have added the same of what I have sent to the Ombudsman but I will not send the bank online proof of £666.00 taken including the £ 22.00 per day ridiculous charges due to data protection of such private info.
