Bad plastic bottles

Lately I have gotten 2 bottles of DR Pepper that I couldn't get the lids off even with pliers. I have gotten 3 bottles that were fat. I don't know what is going on.I have been buying the 6 pack of plastic bottles. Can you give me an answer for this. Thanks
