BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

1

I'm a 41-year-old mother and wife and I realize there are a lot of younger kids that enjoy the Sunday Funday event you host, but I've never been treated the way I was treated yesterday. Background I arrived at Hifi around maybe 3 pm to meet up with my cousin and my son. We sat at the bar corner with the windows leading to the cornhole game. My son ordered me a drink when I arrived, and I sat there a talked with my cousin and son. I tried to order the next drink for myself, but for some reason, the bartenders were avoiding my side of the bar. I was trying to get their attention with eye contact, then raised my hand like I was a child in school, then asked the barback if he could help bring someone to our side. I waited 20 min before someone would look at me to order another drink. Every person working behind the bar appeared to not want to be there. I was finally able to get my second drink and again enjoyed conversation with the people I was there to see. The sun was starting to set, and I attempted to order my 3rd drink and again I went through the same effort of having to gain ANYONE's attention so I could place an order. My son tried to get their attention to help me. When he asked the bartender if he could take our order the bartender was very rude and his body language and tone were clear he didn’t want to help us. The bartender proceeded to make the drinks unwillingly, but when he set the drinks on the bar counter, he made 2 drinks for me and 2 beers for my son. I tried to explain to the bartender that this was a mistake, but he proceeded to roll his eye and it was clear he didn’t care. So he handed me the receipt and I started to write my complaint on the receipt as I was doing writing the bartender walked over and said “so tell me what’s the problem” because he noticed I wasn’t signing my name. I tried to tell him “we only ordered a drink each” again he rolled his eyes as if I was bothering him. My son told him “we only wanted one drink each” The bartended did not like that my son spoke to him and he started to sign for security to come over and it was clear my son and I was being treated very poorly by this bartender and everyone working behind the bar. My son and I tried a third time to explain we only wanted one drink each and the man looked at me and said: *** you”. At that point, my son said, “that’s my mom!” the bartender turned to the security guard and told him to kick my son out. I could see security guards from both sides of the bar heading our way. I tried to get a moment to explain to the head security guard how we were being treated and he didn’t seem to care. They grabbed my son and started to pull him out. I turned around and the bartender was pulling our drinks from the bar to toss in the trash that I was charged $30.00 dollars for! I tried to get the security to settle down because this was all because the bartender made us more drinks then we wanted, and he didn’t care to fix his mistake instead he kicked us out for trying to explain the issue. I was embarrassed and angry that this happened to me and my son when your employees were inattentive during the entire experience and when they were told they made a mistake it was escalated into being drug out of the bar by your security. When we made it outside, I asked to speak to leadership and again we were treated like trash. There was ONE security guard who agreed this was not right and he told me he would be willing to validate my complaint and he also provided the card with your contact information along with the GMs details. In the 41 years of my life, I have never been treated this way and I honestly am so upset with how your staff deals with customers that I took time to contact you because something needs to be done. This letter is only my first step in making sure this never happens to me or anyone else that wants to enjoy time with family and have a few drinks and pay for bad service. *As of this morning, a few friends that were in attendance were able to provide the name of the bartender - Keegan Baker. What I would like to see happen at this point. •Retrain your staff on the importance of customer service. - I fully understand it becomes overwhelming dealing with drunk college kids, but your customers are not all the same and shouldn’t be treated that way. •Keegan Baker is not representing HiFi well and should not be behind the bar. •I would like my $31.00 dollars back for the drinks I was never able to enjoy. Upset and disappointed customer!
