On 12-30-2016 I brought my 2004 GMC Envoy in for an oil leak problem. Butler Automotive performed a Drive Line Diagnosis from which they informed me my vehicle needed Labor to Replace Oil Pan Gasket, Oil Pan Gasket, Oil Drain Plug, Labor to Remove Intake to Replace Valve Cover Gasket an Oil Sending Unit, Intake Gasket Set, Valve Cover Gasket Set, Oil Sending Unit, and Coolant Tee totaling $1,372.21 excluding hazmat/supplies or tax. The vehicle was returned to me on 1-3-2017. The oil leak Butler addressed still exists. This complaint addresses the second time I have had to return to Butler to address the continuing oil leak. They did a Diagnostic and Oil Dye test on 12-18 2017 for which I paid an additional $113.40. I took my vehicle to C & C Automotive because I was not satisfied with the work Butler provided. C & C diagnosed the rear main seal and oil pan gasket was leaking. C & C repaired the rear main seal and I returned to Butler to have them address the oil pan leak since I had already paid Butler for that work. They supposedly repaired the oil leak. I had to travel out of town and observed a substantial oil leak in the driveway where my vehicle had been parked. I took my vehicle to Lou Fusz GMC for a diagnosis for which I was charged $99.12. They determined a leak at the intake gasket and valve cover gasket; which are issues that Butler was supposed to have addressed twice. Upon returning home I went back to Butler to have them once again repair those issues and was told my vehicle was not leaking in that area. I went to C & C Automotive on 12-19-2017 and they stated there was no evidence of Dye being added and or the engine cleaned to identify the actual location of an active leak. I make an appointment to return to C & C Automotive on 12-21-2017 for them to steam clean and add dye to the engine for leak diagnosis and schedule a return visit on 12-27-2017. Upon returning C & C Automotive used a micro camera and noted perimeter around oil pan gasket still shows signs of oil leaking and it is wet with oil. The area around the engine rear main seal is still dry.
