I always buy Oscar Mayer hardwood smoked bacon. Its usually one of the more expensive but I have always thought it was well worth it. Now Im not so sure. The last two 1 lb. packages of regular sliced bacon were strips sliced so paper thin it was nearly impossible to cook them crisp without them falling apart. If I needed bacon bits I would not have purchased sliced bacon. I dont like thick sliced bacon so I may have to try a competitor. Wondering if others have seen this trend. User's recommendation: Think about it.
