I was a member with a friend at a karate place for our kids. We joined subject to the other one joining due to being single parents and our jobs. We were told we could could quit with30 days notice. We were both laid of and she was let out of her agreement and I was not, even though it was in writing for both in our agreements. This judgement has ruined my credit although I do not even owe the money. I almost lost my house because I couldn't refi the loan and when I was laid off it is impossible to refi or loan mod. Ultimately everyone needs tpo understand these places are in business to make money and they DO NOT CARE about you or your personal problems. I will not join any place that has a contract or reports to collection because they can say anything they want to hold you accountable and conveniently lose paperwork...
