Update by user May 11, 2018 a woman called me from bflo general. said the guy they put me in with wasn't infectious, apologized for the room never being cleaned and said sometimes nurses call in sick. basically nothing will change. Its sad to watch the commercials on tv about buffalo general hospital, its nothing like they actually are. Original review posted by user Apr 06, 2018 I had surgery at buffalo general hospital. pre surgery a head nurse wanted me to sign papers that stated the wrong procedure. the doctor intervened and got it right. after surgery I was then made to lay flat on my back which was brutal due to recent back surgery. no pain pills of course. I was then taken to my simi private room. the other elderly patient has numerous issues. I asked for a private room but was told there were none. I was awake all night due to the problems in the bed next to me. the room was never cleaned, the nurses are understaffed and do the best they can. the food was disgusting. the discharge process began at 0600hrs and I was finally let out at 14:00hrs. don't believe the commecials about how great this place is. i'm no doctor but I would never put a surgical patient in with a sick one. oh and the discharge papers had the same wrong procedure on them that began this nighmare.
