On September 24, 2019 I received a personal loan from Western Finance in Jasper, Texas for $150. Their address locally is 331 S Wheeler, Jasper, Texas 75951. Phone number is 409-384-****. The managers name is QuanTina Verrett Davis . The district manager's phone number is 940-414-****. I do not recall his name, however he did call me after me getting an employee to pass him the message and he verbally confirmed that he received the cease and desist notice. The corporate address is Western Finance 2115 N Hobart St Pampa, Texas 79065. The customer service number is (325) 653-****. I made the October and November payments on time, however the December 24th payment did not get made because they closed by the time I got off work for the holiday. On December 26, 2019 I had just made it to work and the manager called me and left a voicemail, while checking this voicemail, she contacted my mother and my daughter not giving me enough time to finish the message and remember to call and pay. She continually harassed them and when I did get her on the phone she stated that she had the right to call anybody she wanted to because my account was late. I then requested that no more calls be made to me or my references and sent over a cease and desist notice via fax to this company. I did not hear from them again until Monday, January 27, 2020. When I finally got the lady on the phone she stated that she was going to continue to break the law and call me because I still owe a balance. I contacted the district manager and he agreed with her and stated that he received my cease and desist letter and the company’s attorney advise them to keep calling me, in spite of my request to not be contacted. I also received another call on today, January 28, 2020 from the Western Finance company. Please help me in my attempt to make this debt collector follow the law. I will also be reaching out to the better business bureau, as well.
