Auto Payment problems

Update by user Dec 01, 2018 Just update. No one every contacted me. I paid to avoid long drawn out potential for notices and late fees. Customer service person really has no ability or power to help anyone. It sees they are set up to locate places where you can pay bill. I hope no one else has to go thru this. What. Call the regulators at state level. Ha. What a joke. Original review posted by user Nov 01, 2018 Had my account on auto pay on Visa Debit card at a Credit Union. On date Atmos was to debit my account, Got an email saying that BANK rejected payment for insufficient funds. I had used the card before. So, they charged me an additional $20 on top of each bill. So, I tried to pay again, and again, I got a insufficient funds. So, when I call Customer service, the girl treats me like some flunky and assumes that I have no money in my account - says I need to check with my bank and I can take cash to payment center. What? I asked what I needed to fix account today (she was going to send it to some department for research?). Believe it or not, she used the same card on file to make payment on account. Balance paid, but it cost me $40 extra. Nothing Representative could do to waive fee, I guess. No where to go. No other Gas Company to switch to. Stuck with these _____ people. Don't expect any resolution. Must go on. I guess.
