Contractor installed over 12,000.00 of Atrium Windows and a sliding Patio Door while replacing the siding and trim on our home. In short, some fixed panel windows are reversed in the frames, negating the Energy Star rating, all of the double hung windows have air infiltration problems, screens are damaged or missing on three units. Dark bronze exterior finish peeling on one unit due to an oily substance under the paint, three window sections have been ordered by the service tech because of size/ sealing problems, some of the double hungs will not open because they hit the ventilation locks, the patio door is supposed to be dark bronze to match the windows, instead it is dark bronze with multiple white stripes. Although the door functions fine, it does not match the windows. To be clear, these are NOT Contractor or Dealer problems, but solely ATRIUM problems. The service tech is doing his best to fix what he can, but he cannot re-engineer or resolve poor assembly problems. What is most frustrating is trying to penetrate the barrier at Atrium beyond the customer service line. I believe someone at the Welcome, North Carolina Atrium Plant would be willing to contact me to discuss. To be fair, I did receive a call from a Sales Rep, but he seems to be too busy or is not interested in customer satisfaction as he will not return my call. Makes me wonder what the executives at Atrium do when they are on the receiving end of a bad product. I will provide receipts, photos, phone call records if and when requested.
