ATMs consistently let me down

The service is good at the bank, but their ATMs are pain. Last time I used it, it refused to give me the amount I wanted saying they were out of bills. And that was right after I saw the customer in front of me successfully depositing a large amount of 20s right there. How come the ATM cannot give me the same notes back? I do not understand it. Their ATMs are bad all over the place: they are slow, not functioning, suspiciously looking, situated God knows where. And now they are laughing right in my face.
