Ariel Dunes – Property Rental Review

2

Update by user Apr 18, 2017 The manager, Joanna Sansom, was extremely rude. Would not present any documentation for explanation of charges or signed contact. I asked to speak to her manager or supervisor and she would not give me a name. If they felt certain that they were right, why could none of the requested information be given, such as names and documentation? According to the resort policy on website, the allegedly missing wristbands are $15 for replacements fees. I was charges $159.16 for 6 wristbands. Doesn't add up!! These charges are bogus. There is no one to turn the room over to at check out, so it is impossible for me to plead my case with Joanna. I live in Alabama and this pool wristbands do not benefit me at all. I believe that housekeeping either (1) took the wristbands and gave them to family members to enjoy the pool this summer. (2) housekeeping accidentally reported erroneous info. (3) The facility is trying to take advantage of a loophole situation where it's my word against housekeeping. I'm fighting this because I am 1000% sure that the charges are fraud! My family did not touch or remove the resort's pool wristbands from the condo. Who would do that knowing they would be held financially responsible for something they didn't use? Just doesn't make any sense. Original review posted by user Apr 17, 2017 This resort is a scam! Watch your credit card statements. They placed fraudulent charges on my card. During our stay the weather was too cold to enjoy the pool so we did not use the pool or touch the wristbands. We were accused of taking the wristbands and charged $25x6 for the replacement of the wristbands. Why would we take wristbands that we didn't even use? How *** does that sound? Of course, I challenged these charges and Joanna Sansom, the property manager basically told me it was my word against the housekeeping. I asked for proof of documentation that more than one individual (e.g. housekeeping and inspectors) verified that there were no wristbands left in room. She refused my request, told me she had work to do and hung up in my face. Please be careful with this resort. I was definitely scammed out of $159. There is no way to dispute this bc there is no clerk to check in/out with. Everything is done via text. The customer service was great before the stay but afterwards I felt so violated and cheated. I will not let this go!! I have a family and i work too hard for my money for it to be stolen from me. Believe me...i would not make a fuss if we had misplaced or forget to return these expensive wristbands. My suggestion to everyone is to not go there!!! There is no way you can get out of these charges. No front desk you can turn these bands into. They are FRAUDS!!
