I bought my hoover scrub 50 just last year. I can count on one hand how many times i had to use it. Today when I turned the machine on ,I heard a popping sound. It also sounded like something flapping inside the machine. So I opened the machine ,which was not easy because the screws were in so tight that trying to get them out I ended up stripping the screws . I looked at the inside of this machine . I not only smelled burnt plastic , but when I tried to remove the screws the surrounding plastic would just break off. I looked at the engine and turned the machine on and noticed that the flapping sound was the engine back firing. inside the engine you could visibly see the engine sparking. Then you could smell smoke. I do no t have the receipt and Im out of a carpet cleaner.
