I am a long time customer of Cabela's and I shop in the East Hartford store location. On numerous occasions, I have been informed that the type of ammo I need is not in stock. Recent examples are the 20ga. Federal Sabot Slugs, and Herters brand rifle bullets. The sales person checks, and I am told that there is plenty at the distribution center, but only a few boxes are slated for East Hartford; maybe I should try in a week or so. My rifles are sighted in for a certain brand of ammunition and it's very inconvenient to have to switch brands and realign each time. Shopping at Cabela's is still a good experience; please correct the poorly stocked ammunition problem.
