I made a $2, 000.00 purchase using Alibaba Escrow services. This service is supposed to protect the buyer by allowing the buyer to confirm satisfactory delivery of the merchandise. The funds are only released to the seller when satisfactory delivery of the merchandise is confirmed. I received a printer that does not work and a machine missing a key part . AND someohow the status of the transaction was changed to COMPLETED. Someone confirmed SATISFACTORY DELIVERY without my authorization. I have contacted alibaba customer service about this but I have not received a response. Not even assurance that they have received my complaint and are looking into the matter. The seller seems reluctant to correct the problems with the order despite the 1 yr guarantee. Accessing alibaba accounts and making unauthorized changes to transactions is evidently very possible. ALIBABA ESCROW CAN NOT PROTECT THE BUYER.
