After 3 WEEKS, the Engine had to be replaced!!

1

I bought a truck from this location on 08-10-2019.t Three weeks later the truck was in the shop needing a new engine due to extreme rust and safety is I bought 2008 f-350 from this location on 08-10-2019. I was told it was a super clean vehicle and that it was in great shape. The truck did come back on auto check as being sold at auction and having both structural and frame damage but I was told that they have to notate it that way anytime there are scratches, dents, or dings on the vehicle by Jamie Eady the manager of this location. I voiced my concern to Jamie that i didn't want to get the truck and 3-4 weeks later have it in the shop undrivable due to issues. I was assured that wouldn't happen and if it somehow did, that they are not the type of dealership to leave me stranded. About 3 WEEKS LATER THE TRUCK WAS IN THE SHOP with an exhaust manifold leak and unable to drive. I was going t just eat the cost of the repair until i got a call from the mechanic stating that that whole engine was rusted out, the transmission lines had been cut and bypassed, the manifold was completely rusted, and the whole bottom end of the engine was rusted out. At that time I called Ole Ben Franklin and spoke with Jamie about the issue i even had the mechanic take pictures of the damage and I sent them to Jamie. Jamie Stated that he would call the mechanic and get back to me. I never received a call back and neither did the mechanic. I the called up and spoke with another manager named Randy. I explained the situation to Randy and sent the pictures. Randy stated that It was a messed up situation and agreed that it should be remedied and he would get with Jamie on a solution. I have been trying for the past week to communicate with this dealership and resolve this issue and keep getting stonewalled with no communication back from them even after I am promised a phone call. The only solution that was offered was for me to purchase a new engine and they would have their mechanic put it in at their cost. This is not acceptable. I spent almost 20,000 on this truck and drove it for 3 weeks before it went down. even the mechanic stated it was not roadworthy and posed a safety issue. I offered up 2 solutions to the dealership 1- they had a vehicle on the lot that was comparable in price and features to the one I bought. I offered to swap vehicles that way they could fix this one at their cost and then sell it as a "drivable" vehicle and make back their money. 2- I would pay money towards the labor of installing the new engine if they purchased it. I even did all the leg work and research and found engines that would work at extremely reasonable prices. I have not been able to get a response on either. When i purchased this vehicle I traded in a truck that was running and driving fine, I was just looking for a dually as we have a horse farm and they are better equipped to pull horse trailers. Now, I am out my original truck, the new truck has been in the shop for over three weeks, I only was able to drive it for 3 weeks prior, and now they want me to purchase a new engine for the vehicle i purchased which should not have been on the road in the first place. This is unacceptable. Again, I have offered 2 solutions. And even offered to pay for part of the repair if they purchase the engine so I'm not asking them to shoulder all of it which I believe is reasonable considering the circumstances.
