Aerlingus rip off

1

On September 27 2017 I tried to book a flight advertised on the Aerlingus website from Portland OR to Dublin Ireland. I tried four times to book the flight. Each time I tried to submit it gave me an error message and all the fields would go blank so I'd have to start over at the beginning =entering my info all over again. The 4th time it said that fare was no longer available so I went to Justly.com and found a similar flight for the same $$ through United and booked it. Then, weeks later, After my United flight left, I received a credit card charge from Aerlingus saying my booking went through on Sept 28, the day after I tried booking it. When I contacted them I was put on hold forever then told I had booked it on the 28th. interestingly they share the flight with United so probably saw I had booked on united and decided to double dip me for the flight. Do NOT give Aerlingus your credit card info coz they can hit you up with charges even if they say your ticket didn't go through. I should have guessed when the air travel insurance I tried to buy thru aerlingus was denied when I tried to fill out the purchase agreement.
