Advertises “All Inclusive Resorts” does not mention $1120 additional fees.

Update by user Sep 15, 2018 Exploria sent me a letter stating they will include the all-inclusive fees. Original review posted by user Aug 20, 2018 Beware! Don’t book with them.!!!! Don’t by a timeshare!!! •Misleading - Advertises “All Inclusive Resorts” •Exploria does not disclose that there is an additional price upon arrival for “All inclusive” (appx. $1120 for 2 persons for 7 days) •Live chat… very misleading, until after you book. •Will not refund my payment even though they falsely advertised. My friend is a Time-share owner with Exploria. She invited my husband and I to join them on their trip to the Dominican Republic. She took advice from an agent at Gatlinburg Towne Square and booked our room at the Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa All Inclusive, through Exploria. While in the process of booking this room I was on live chat. The person was conveying that the resort was all-inclusive, so why would I not believe that meals, etc… are included in the price. It was not until after I completed the booking process that she informed me that there was an additional price for “All Inclusive.” After 45 minutes of arguing with her through live chat, she still could not tell how much the additional fees were. Exploria advertises “all inclusive.” Under terms and conditions, they do not mention additional fees for “all-inclusive.” They claim “extra resort charges or fees” are the all-inclusive fees. Yet they listed the $25 per day Wi-Fi fees on their site. Terms and conditions states “…..The price may not include, extra resort charges or fees, service fees, handling fees, destinations surcharges, duties and taxes or incidentals, such as, but not limited to, telephone calls, insurance, laundry service, minibar, parking, etc. which is the responsibility of the Traveler shall be paid directly by the Traveler to the accommodations or service provider….” All booking sites have this disclaimer. But other booking sites state any additional “All Inclusive fees” I immediately called to cancel my booking, they informed me I had to cancel online. I canceled the booking online while still on live chat, with in 45 minutes of booking, on August 16,2018. On August 19, 2018, charges were made to my bank account. I called Exploria and they stated it was never canceled; and I cannot cancel even though I purchased the insurance. They refused to refund my money. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and supposedly they will have to return my call. But I have not heard from them. My friend the timeshare owner, has called numerous of times, and even to the Gatlinburg Towne Square Resort and they will not return her calls. I am a member with Bluegreen Resorts, and RCI. When booking the same resort through them or Expedia and other booking sites, they plainly state additional fees and will not allow you to book unless you agree to the additional all-inclusive fees. The price through Exploria was comparative with Expedia, but by booking with Exploria, we would be considered a guest of my friend, thus dinning and swimming in areas not open to Expedia travelers. I have placed this on numerous sites, hopefully people will see my review, not get ripped off by this company.
