Ads on the screen

I really dont like having images on top of my program. Im watching River Monsters and have to keep seeing the Puppy Bowl - two static images in the upper left. I pay good money for my cable service and dont want my viewing to be impaired. And then there are also ads that appear on the bottom at the same time! This is not being respectful of the viewers.
