Addendum to Contract of Sale Scam
*SOLVED

3

My boyfriend and I recently tried to buy the home located at 1123 Nicodemus RD, New Windsor, MD 21776. Originally, we had put an offer in on the home earlier in 2009 and lost the bid to another couple. This month the house came back on the market. The MD REO realtor said the couple made improvements to the home that were required by FHA and even purchased a new stove, but the couple broke up and didn't buy the home. After seeing the Litton Loan Servicing (LLS) Addendum to Contract of Sale we have our doubts about the reasons the previous couple decided not to buy the home. The LLS addendum supersedes the MD Residential Contract of Sale, resulting in forfeiture of many of the rights buyers have under the MD contract. We had many concerns about the contract, but our primary concern involved the home inspection, signing the contract would waive our right to get out of the contract based on the results of the home inspection. Of course we did not sign the LLS Addendum as is and we sent the MD REO agent our revisions on the LLS Addendum and our offer was then rejected. There are many parts to this story that I have left out. I am posting this because I want people to be cautious when dealing with any parties involved in this complaint.
