We had a contract with Ryder for a 26 ft Truck. When we signed on they never went over the policy for insurance on the Truck. We were led to believe the Insurance was included when the Truck was brought in for repairs and a loaner given to us we were hit with a double bill one for the truck on lease and the other for the loaner. They expected us to pay for both Trucks. Once that was rectified we decided to actually purchase the Vehicle Insurance through them only after it was discovered it was not included in our lease contract as we thought it was. 6 months later we acquired a policy through an outside Company and requested cancelation . We provided them proof of Insurance through the other company, but for 7 months Ryder continued to bill us for Insurance that was suppose to be canceled. Our representative from Atlanta Georgia and Buffalo, NY failed to do their job. We continued to be billed and in the end after months fighting and guarantees that the insurance would be canceled by the next billing period which it never was.....We finally, finally came to a resolution. Ryder canceled the insurance portion of our lease and told us we were able to get out of our lease agreement because of the horrible experience we had with them for all those months, but what they didn't tell us was the total amount of the insurance that they were suppose to wipe away from our account was actually applied against us as their bad debt and our failure to pay. Plus they reported it Duns that now reflects our credit index. This is wrong, they should be held accountable for their terrible practices...… I advise any one who needs to lease a truck, run in the other direction. Do Not Lease From them. They are horrible.!!!
