A great program for those needing short-term help
Back in 2014, I was laid-off abruptly. Didn't see it coming. I had heard of Keep Your Home California, but it sounded fishy, eventually I applied. Yes, it's a government bureaucracy, and the process is long and burdensome, but it's 'free' money at a time I needed it. After about 3 months of mostly needless red tape, they started paying my mortgage for me. It was great! After a few months, I went back to work and I took up my mortgage payments again. 3 years later, they released the lien on my home. 5 stars! I will never complain about someone paying my mortgage for me. (and thank you taxpayers, the assistance was needed and appreciated)
