Hello Team, I am writing to inform you all, EmployABILITY 2012 Job fair was a bitter experience for me and most of other persons with disability as well who attended this Job fair with Lots of expectation, zeal and enthusiasm. 1. On 2nd November'12, Preparatory seminar (Optional) and Written Test was Scheduled. When I reached at the Venue for written test, only then I came to know, only 4 companies were taking written test and i was not to give any test, hence entire 2nd-Nov'12 was waste for me. When I asked, (A) Why I was not selected for written test, then one lady member of the organizing committee said, since my skill set and experience was not as per the 4 companies requirements so i was not shortlisted for these company but I still had a chance to appear to 16+ companies tomorrow (3rd-Nov'12). (B) I also asked to provide the list of the company coming in the Job fair so that we could had some insight about all the companies., but Organizing committee members completely refused to provide such details and said they will lets us know only on the interview day (3rd-Nov'12) and AbilityFoundation would shortlist companies for us as per our Skills, Experience & Education mentioned in our Resume (CV). ISSUES : 1. If Written Test was not for me, Then why I was Not informed in advance. ? why ability foundation let us suffer in unnecessary travelling to/from the Venue. 2. Why Companies Details not provided to us ? 2. On 3rd November'12, Interviews was Scheduled, where we were asked to carry All Original Documents with at least 5 copies of each document and 5 photographs. When I reached at the Venue, then I came to know, i was shortlisted for only 3 companies out of 21 Companies for preliminary interviews only. These three Companies were 1. CavinKare 2.Genpact 3.Sundaram. I thought AbilityFoundation have gone through my resume well and shortlisted these companies as per company requirement and my skill sets and experiences, but when I actually interact with the interviewer, I was shocked to know, none of the company were looking for the candidature as per my profile and none of them even looked at the Original documents or even Disability Certificate. Cavinkare is a FMCG Company looking for the person who have have good insight/knowledge of FMCG products- Job Location : Chennai Only- whereas FMCG product knowledge is not at all mentioned in my CV- why I shortlisted for this company?? Genpact was looking for Data entry operator (Entry Level Job)-Offering Rs.10000/- Job Location : Chennai Only- whereas I have clearly mention my 5 years experience, current CTC-3.7 Lakh p.a. and designation as team leader-why I shortlisted for this company?? Sundaram- was Looking for financial analyst for Factory based environment - Job Location : Chennai Only- whereas I have clearly mentioned my 5 years experience in a MNC environment in DelhiNCR it self - why I shortlisted for this company?? ISSUES : 1. On what ground companies was shortlisted for interview ? if it is as per the resume, then why above mention companies shortlisted for me.?? 2. Why All Original Document were asked to carry with 5-5 copies of each when they knew it would be preliminary interview only and all other round will take place at respective company office itself. 3. Proactively, I wrote mail to ability foundation on 23rd-Oct'12 to have the clarity on the below points: 1.I am 5 years Experienced person in a MNC as a Team Leader. Would Job offering here will be for such designation or only for entry level employee.? 2.What is the average salary package offered in the past here. Since i am having 3.7 lakh package in MNC.? will i able to get equalized amount?. 3.Would Posting available in Delhi or Delhi NCR.? I asked such question because, I am leaving in east Delhi, and Secunderabad is 1700 km away. If there was an expectation of getting good job there, it would be worthy to come. But no response received via email from any of the ability foundation Committee members. 4. I tried to called at AbilityFOUNDATION office many a times but no one pick up the call. I kept trying on daily basis and at last one day one lady pick the phone and I confirmed above points with Her on which she said : 1. Yes, Job will be provided to experienced person as well for on or above current designation., 2. Yes, Salary would be as per the experience and there is maximum Cap (Limit) on salary., 3 Yes, Job location will be nearest to applicant., Its a National Level job fair not only for south area. Job Location would be all over India. ISSUES : 1. Why this NGO not declared which companies were coming in job fare and what were their minimum expectation with the applicants? 2. Why this Organisation not specify the Job Locations which would majorly be in Chennai and in South India only.? I must say this, so called AbilityFOUNDATION just wanted to make sure to gather as much population as possible (Crowd) to show the mass media and government their work for the society to avail more donation and Awards. Their strategy relied on bullying and harassment of Person with disabilities just for their own benefits. I know, there are many employment legislation & courts which take care of PWD rights. I am writing you this mail to 'react' to the breaches of employment & pwd rights. Please help to teach a hard lesson to such fraud NGO,
