a dress which was too small

I have attempted to return a dress which I received recently but have been unable to get past the return section of Fashionmia's website. I have e-mailed them and they said they would get back to me within 36 hours but this did not happen. I have just e-mailed them again and they say they will get back to me within 36 hours again. My worry is that I only have 30 days within which to return the item to them for a full refund. The quality of the dress is dreadful, the size is ridiculous. It would fit a child and I am an adult. It took several weeks to come despite me e-mailing them querying the arrival date and time. When I ordered the item it was in stock according to the website so I do not know why it took so long to arrive. I have yet to return the item and have a feeling I am going to lose my money which I am very angry about.
