3 Chargers for the Price of 5
1
I recently ordered a charger for a Black and Decker electric broom that my wife loves. I placed the order and obtained a copy of the sales receipt for my records. The cost of the charger was $8.76. The total of the order was $20.25. I knew it was a huge amount for shipping and handling, but this was the only place that carried this oddball charger. No universal adapter would work because it is a two-pronged charger. I had no choice. I ordered one charger and received three! I made enquiries about why I received two extra chargers and charged three times for the ridiculous shipping and handling. DeWalt inferred that I must have hit the button three times to make the sale. I told them that this was interesting because I had a receipt that clearly shows I ordered one. DeWalt stated that they would give me a return label to stick on the box to send the two chargers that I did not order back. They then told me that they would not refund the exorbitant shipping cost!!! This means they just took $25.00 from me for parts that might have cost them $2.00 each. I am sure they charged 4-times the amount that they paid for this part. If they do this to more than one customer, I can only imagine how much money they make for nothing. Over the short term, this will make them a great profit. Over the long term, this will discourage their customers from buying from them. In short, I could have bought another electric broom for the price that I spent on these chargers. I write this so that you will AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. I will eat the cost of these chargers and the shipping as a lesson learned not to do business with them again.
