Just leased a 2019 BMW x5 which is the 5th x5 we have leased. We have traveled from the east coast of FL to Utah and North to the Teton Mounts of Idaho and Wyoming. Loved the cars, both diesel and gas. Loved them all. This 2019 is the worst car we have owned including Volvo, Lexus and Mercedes. Within the first 400 mile the engine emission light went on. Fixed and within the next 300 miles the light went on again. The electronics are so confusing that it becomes unsafe to drive. Radio goes on with out turning on. Nave system out of nowhere comes on and gives direction to your home. The kick opening function for the tailgate hardly works. By the time you swing your leg several times it is easier to push the button on the tailgate. If you have the key in your back pack the door sensors don't work. has to be in the front of you body. The screen is so sensitive that any had motion causes something to turn on or off. The driver assist program over corrects which cause the driver to over correct in the opposite direction. The communication system for the phone sometimes pick up the phone other times not. Lastly, the car suspension feels like the car is being driven in a wind storm even on a newly paved road. The voice activation is probably the only good thing.
