2015 GMC Yukon and Action GMC Dothan AL

I own a 2015 Yukon Denali that I purchase new last year. (VIN 1GKS2JKJ2FR549786) At 5,000 miles I started having shaking/vibration/shuddering/clunking issues. I took it into the shop was told there was a recall on the transmission. Had that done..did not fix the problem. Took it back in. Was informed that they performed the recall incorrectly and they redid it. Picked up the vehicle...didn't get a mile away and found it was still shuddering...turned right around and took it back to the dealership and took the service tech on a ride with me. He confirmed he felt the shuddering but suggested it was probably caused by not using premium fuel all the time. He told me to run a few tanks of premium through the engine and that would fix it. I took a 2,000 mile trip, only using premium fuel but the issue just got worse. As soon as I returned from my trip I took the vehicle back in. They had my vehicle for 21 days. They ended up changing out my transmission…at 7,000 miles. When I went to pick up my vehicle this time, the shuddering was better but there was still a vibration and an occasional clunking underneath the vehicle that could be felt and sometimes heard as well. I called the GMC dealer and told them that the car was still not fixed…the advisor I spoke with said “what would you like us to do about it?” That is a direct quote. Extremely aggravated I replied “I want you to fix my vehicle…I’m driving around a $70,000 piece of ***.”…the advisor then said (again a direct quote) “wow, $70,000…that’s dream money to me”. I did inform the service manager of this conversation when I took the vehicle back in. I dropped my vehicle off and took the service manager on a drive with me. He said the vehicle felt normal to him but that “maybe” he could detect a vibration…he suggested perhaps the tires were bad or maybe the rear end was bad. They had the car for another few days and when I picked it up they said that the tires were out of balance. Drove the vehicle off the lot and STILL had the same problem. Called them to report it. I’ve since had it back in twice and both times they tell me no issues found. I’ve also had numerous instances of electrical burning smell in the vehicle. This was also reported to them but again they have found “no issues”. They have had my vehicle for over 30 days total and my problems still are not fixed. My most recent visit was less than 2 months ago..I dropped my vehicle off only to have them call me and tell me they couldn’t find any problems and they wanted me to come take the service manager on another drive…at this point I didn’t even bother, I just went and picked up my vehicle and have been putting up with the vibration and clunking and burning electrical smell ever since. So, imagine my surprise today when I discover that there is an open recall on my vehicle. The recall is for the u-joint retainer bolts. The recall says that the customer “may hear or feel a “clunking” noise and that if the condition is not corrected the customer may feel a vibration.” All of the symptoms I have described to my local dealer multiple times. I am quite certain that the dealership has the ability to search for recalls on a vehicle..why was this not discovered on any of the previous dealership visits? Of course this recall does not address the burning electrical smell that happens on occasion, but it does address the main problem I’ve had with my vehicle…the problem I’ve been having for almost a year!
