In the Emergency Department of the Children's Hospital in Tornkalns, we met with the unprofessional and inhumane actions of pediatric surgeon Edite Kurmina and her assistant. Instead of inspecting the child's injury immediately and providing assistance, we were accused of not waiting at the exact location we were given when we registered. In the further process, we received accusations that we had allegedly brought the child late. Later, something was done and the child was torn off the bandage, when we asked to do it more gently, moistening rather than tearing off the whole skin, we received the answer "Do not interfere! It's your fault that you didn't bring the child earlier!" This is the first time since Soviet times that I have seen this attitude!Be careful to beware of this pediatric surgeon!
