Air fryer timer doesn’t work. Trays paint is coming off

Issue with Dash Air Fryer

I bought a Dah Tasti – Crisp Air Fryer a year ago. I like to tell you the dots around the *** has rub off. I can”t tell how long the food is cooking. Can I use a timer instead. Just like for you to know. Thanks Anne Bourg
