The remote is the old style There is a light button Then three fan speed buttons and an off button plus a change direction button

Defective fan motor

One of 2 fans received from online order was defective. Replacement received within several days. Requested a label to return nonworking fan. Return shipped no working fan today. User’s recommendation: Great customer service.
