‘The Lost Pirate Kingdom’

1

Hello,  I'm writing to complain about a rather racist element in the series 'The Lost Pirate Kingdom' Most of the series is set in [protected], several years after the 1707 union of England and Scotland... yet most of the time most of historians and narration says 'England' and 'the English'. Surely such erudite people know of the 1707 union and that the correct words from then should be Britain and the British. Why then the obviously incorrect and insulting, perhaps even racist, habit of saying just England and the English? A case in point is the governor of Jamaica then who was actually Scottish. And the character, Bellamy, at one point mentions the ship has people from several nationalities on board, including a Scottish person.  Is there anything that can be done to correct this insulting inaccuracy? In any case future films should be careful to always say the UK, Britain and the British. I am a professional writer of history books with  access to various public platforms. Best wishes,  Seán Michael Wilson
